The Basement Watchdog water alarm detects leaks before they cause costly water damage. It detects as little as 1/32 in. of water and sounds a loud 110 DB alarm, which can be heard throughout the house. It can be placed directly on the floor or mounted in a convenient place with the sensor extended for hard to reach areas. The alarm requires a 9 volt alkaline battery (sold separately). Since the Basement Watchdog water alarm uses no energy unless the alarm is sounding, the battery can last up to five years. Undetected water can cause mold to grow in as little as 24-48 hr. A water alarm can minimize the risk of damage. This effective early warning system can be placed in a variety of locations near water heaters, next to washing machines or under sinks, near refrigerators or dishwashers, close to air conditioner drain tubes, etc.
